Testing the CKM Ansatz: Unitarity Triangle Analysis, e'/e, and
the Delta I=1/2 Rule
We describe the Standard Model Analysis of the CKM unitarity
triangle using experimental constraints from the measurements of
epsilon_k, |V_ub|/|V_cb|, Delta m_d and from the limit on Delta
m_s. The results are compared with the very recent direct
measurements of sin(2beta) obtained from Babar and Belle. Then we
review the status of the theoretical predictions of the Delta I
=1/2 rule and e'/e. We show why in the next few years the new
chiral symmetric lattice regularizations, i.e. overlap and
domain-wall fermions, can have a dramatic impact on the
theoretical predictions of epsilon'/epsilon and the Delta I =1/2
rule.
