The different voltages on uVAX1 vs. uVAX2 are an artifact of when we were
trying to debug some tanks where the LEDs just didn't flash. The maximum
voltage output of the pulser is 8 volts, so the 7.95 is the voltage requested
from the pulser. It wouldn't hurt anything to use 7.95 everywhere, whereas
changing from 7.95 back to 7.5 might cause some LEDs that were on the edge
to stop working right. The date, March, 1994 is when Alice and I were trying
to get all the tanks turned on for calibrations, with a lot of help from
a cast of thousands. I'm not entirely sure that the 7.95 was the crucial
thing that caused some tanks to work or not, since we were changing a lot
of different things. Eventually it turned out that there were some problems
with using unmodified switchbox cards, some bad cards and a few other things,
and when we were done we had all the tanks working finally.
