Calibration funs,

I will reiterate an argument I made to Kate yesterday. At some point
in the future, people may want to expend more effort to make the
calibrations go faster. One way to do this is to have a single run
for attico and lower laser calibrations. Therefore, I think we should
continue to have two laser fake boxes. Having LED and one laser share
a fake box sounds more confusing in the abstract, but in practice I
don't think it's any worse than two lasers sharing a fake box.

It would be quite nice, though not absolutely necessary, if the
calibration DST-making (.CAL file) software (which runs automatically)
is upgraded before we do the first calibs after making the change.
Otherwise we will be making garbegey .CAL files and they will have to
be regenerated from tape by some poor slob to be selected in the
future. Of course we will have to verify after the fact that the DSTs
are correct, but I think the change will probably be simple enough
that there is a good chance we will get it right on the first try.
Someone remind us of what software makes the .CAL files -- is it in
BMON or a job that BMON starts? Who is familiar enough with this
software to have a good chance to make the correct changes (after we
agree on the fake box assignment, of course)?

It would also be nice, but again not absolutely necessary, to add a
new fake box to DREAM (box 95) and use date-dependent decoding to
create this box when the Bari box fires. I think this change should
wait a few weeks until we see if our hardware change is stable. I'm
not sure what this means for TDST production.
