POST DOCTORAL POSITION IN
EXPERIMENTAL HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS
The Experimental High Energy Physics group in the Physics Department
at Texas A&M University has an immediate opening for an assistant research
scientist to work 50% time with its non-accelerator based research
program (MACRO) and 50% time on the new long baseline neutrino experiment
being planned for Fermilab (MINOS). The appointee to this position will
participate in the data taking and data analysis of the MACRO(Monopole,
Astrophysics and Cosmic Ray Observatory) experiment currently running at
the Gran Sasso Laboratory in Italy as well as work with our group's
simulation and detector R&D efforts on the MINOS(Main Injector Neutrino
Oscillation Search) experiment at Fermilab. Applicants must have a Ph.D.
in physics with a background in either experimental high energy physics or
nuclear physics, with experience in detector design/construction, data
acquisition and data analysis. Interested applicants should submit a
curriculum vitae and current bibliography, along with at least three
