Hi all--

This is a follow up on a earlier (1998) message of mine regarding
emptying half of the MACRO-US tech house at Gran Sasso.

This time we have to empty the rest of it. The tech house right now
hosts most of the tubing, connectors and peripherals related to the
oil pumping. None of these will be thrown away as they might proven
useful at decommissioning. In addition, there are electronics and
cables from the 1st supermodule run. There are ~10-20 modules of the
first version of the ERP, old PMT fanouts, PMT pulse shapers and
multiplexers and also IMBU electronics. We plan to keep few of the old
ERPs and several of the old PMT fanouts as they can be used for general
purpose applications. Unless somebody thinks differently, the rest will
be thrown away. There is a number (5) of non standard NIM crates from
which we'll remove the fan units and transformers and throw away the
rest. Finally, we've selected a number of lemo and RG58 cables that
were in good condition and will be used in everyday needs. Most of
the cables found are tangled up. The rest of the cables (I estimate
300-600m of RG58 and 150-300m of lemo, most of them with connectors on)
will be either donated to the laboratory or thrown away if the lab
refuses to store them.

Please let me know if you have any suggestion, objection or comment
on any of the above. We need to empty the tech house completely by
Friday (10/26).

Thanks a lot,
--Erik
