Today, me and Massimo changed the power supply on SM2 CSPAM (NIM) crate.
I remind you that this is the same power supply that Massimo had changed
last Wed. with the one that is used for the movable NIM bin. At the time,
the original power supply appeared to have a general failure (no channel
worked), but after inspection, it turns out it is OK. So, we decided to
put it back, mainly because this particular power supply has no +-6V lines
(CSPAM fanins don't use it, anyway) while the movable NIM bin needs these
voltages.
At the same time, the spare NIM power supply that failed when Massimo
and Valeriano tried to swapped it in has been fixed by me and Nicola;
as it turned out, one of the big electrolytic capacitors (11,000uF, 20V)
was broken and has been changed. The power supply seems to be OK now.
A presto,
Ioannis
