Ciao a tutti,
Today Attanasio and Jan changed the fan on rack #48 (where the calib.
uVAX CAMAC crate with the switchboxe modules lives) and also worked on
the one on rack #70 (streamer tube electronics). In order to allow changing
the fan on rack #48, we stopped the run and excluded all 3 streamer tube
uVAXs; this was deemed necessary in order to turn off a number of crates,
among them the crate where uVAX#1,#2 & #3 syncrhonization module lives.
This one (rack #48) is now OK, but the one on rack #70 is still not moving.
At the same time, Attanasio brought to our attention the fact that the
power supply fan of the calib. uVAX CAMAC crate (a Wiener model), immediately
under the fan unit they had to change, was not working either.
Between runs, this crate was turned off and the power supply removed
in order to change its fan; this power supply should be OK now - it needs
to be put back on the crate next Wed. before calibrations. I believe Nicola
has also turned off some swithboxes on SM4 because he found them ON after
this operation (remember to turn them on next Wednesday also.)
A presto,
Ioannis
ps: the Wiener power supply is on the bench next to the PISA baracca, where
spare PHRASE power supplies are located
