Data shift report (04-Sep-2000 to 08-Sep-2000)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
by Nicola Zaccheo
From run 19897 to 19909
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Good week for the acquisition.
No problems reported for the MACRO running.
I fixed the ERP Bari box problems on SM5:
starting from run 19863 up to run 19901 there was a very low
rate for the ERP Bari box on SM5 (3-5 count/hrs instead of
the normal 200 count/hrs). After checking the AMP connector
and the fan-out inputs, I fixed the problem at the beginning
of run 19902 changing the output channels on the correspondent
QUAD discriminator.
During last week-end Nazzareno fixed the problems with the Macro
On-Line server.
On Monday I found all the MACROUSA real-time analysis jobs paused
for lack of disk quota on DISK$SCRAUSA8.
I also restarted all the MACROUSA jobs after a cluster shut-down
that happened on Tuesday.
AXMAC1 copy job "dentro-fuori" stopped because of a failure in the swapping
between the two MACRODATA disks. I restarted everything.
Yesterday I launched the copy of the .ZEB MACRO runs that failed because
the procedure didn't create the files lists (ZEB_t.LIS, ZEB1.lis, ZEB2.lis
and ZEB3.lis). I allerted the "AXMAC1 copy supervisor" (Grillo-Scapparone).
Roberto fixed a broken fan-unit and the power supply that I replaced
last week. He also made the oil leak check on the West side of SM1-2-3
TRIGGER RATES:
TOHM --> 4T13 ~9mHz, 5B13 ~7mHz
ERP --> 3B07 ~6mHz

PHRASE --> 5B04 ~32mHz
FMT:
No problems reported
LAMOSSKA:
There are still not justified LAMOSSKA triggers for LAM50 and,
sometimes, for LAM60.
CSPAM/ERP efficiency:
The boxes with systematic inefficiency: 2B07 (~60%),3B07 (~45%),
3B12 (~66%),3E08 (~71%), 4T12 (~75%) and 6T07(~70%).
ERP/LIP efficiency:
Low efficiency for 1B12, 1B14, 1B15, 1B16, 1C08, 1C11, 1C13, 1C14, 1C15,
1C16, 1T10, 1T13, 1T15, 1T16, 5B13, 5B14, 5C12, 5C13, 5C14, 5T02, 5T03,
5T12, 5T14, 6B08, 6B10, 6B11, 6C09, 6C10, 6T08, 6T09, 6T10 and 6T11.
SPU: still hits on ERPI, ERPII, SPARE, LAS and LED on uVax1 (sometime 1/2
VETO bits too). During run 19908 evn. 3508 the acq. reports 4 triggers
on uVax1 but there are no TRG. bits on SPU.
STOP MASTER:
No problems reported.
PMTs CHECK:
Checked the PMTs signals on SM2. I found the following news:
2B01-1 gain @ -3.7mV signal is stable (old comment:unstable)
2B12-0 gain @ -3.7mV filled in spe
2B14-1 slight dynode peak/broad spe
2B15-0 noisy fanout
2B15-1 broad spe/variable brightness
2B16-0 gain @ -3.7mV
2C02-0 variable brightness
2C05-1 dynode peak
2C12-0 broad spe
2C14-0 bright/gain @ -3.7mV
2C15-1 bright/slight dynode peak
2W06-1 dynode peak at birth
2E04-0 a bit bright
The Web page has been updated.
CALMOD:
4 weeks analysed for ERP constants, ref. run 19819, 19839,
19861 (with LED on all uVaxes) and 19883.
It covers the period till Wednesday, 06-Sep-2000
