Colleagues:

Obviously Doug and I agree that we should write a paper soon. I
personally would _not_ bet a bottle of wine against the detector.

I suggest a PRL or Physics Letter (i.e., _short_) form. The
physics is straightforward, the statistics can be accurately explained in a
very few sentences (my eighteen page memo notwithstanding), and the
detector itself has already been described in detail. It is also important
to get results out before we are made less relevant by our friendly
neighbors to the east.

If the working group leaders and spokesmen agree, I don't see why
work on the paper cannot begin soon. Who should write it?

PS. What is the status of the MACRO talks at the ICRC? Are the
upward-going muon results going to be orally presented? What is our
opinion on the exclusion plots vis-a-vis the ICRC? I personally think we
should consider getting collaboration approval to show them.
