This is the second report for the WFD from Gran Sasso.
Both I and Ed have been working on the WFD system for these days.
We have successfully set the thresholds by software. So, all the single
function tests have been done.
In order to control and read/write the WFD, we have to run nimi_acq system
by down loading CAMAC_list for each single test. In this way it is very
difficult, if it is not impossible, to do advanced tests. We have been
working on a standalone program for the next step. This new program can
also be used to make one channel to be a real useful WFD device. We have
been able to understand, modify, compile and link the fortran code of
mini_acq program for the WFD board. The next thing is just writting the
fortran code for ourself.
Things are total undercontrol both hardware wise and software wise.
Any suggestions of what we should do next are welcome.
