during last week I noticed that the SM3 LIP rates were becoming much lower
than the usual ones while some Tohm channel was getting "hotter" than before.
In fact, yesterday I found out that the corresponding Tohm/LIP crate power
supply was giving more than +14 Volts instead of the usual +12 Volts and,
for this reason, I stopped the run (18127) and I took out uvax2 from the
acquisition in order to replace that power supply.
Unfortunately, the spare power supplies failed, so I had to use the
calibration crate power supply (mod. 1500) to replace the broken one.
Although all spare power supplies are OK, they are not able to work properly
on that crate where some module (Tohm I presume) seems to need more current
than the other ones.
Anyways, after the fix, the Tohm channel 3T06 didn't load the threshold and I
unplagged it from the BU fanout.
From run 18129,uVax2 was put back in acquisition and all problems above
listed desappeared....note that the run duration is now ~300 minutes instead
of ~280.
A presto,
