New Config: ---------- Slot 1: VIC 8250 (VMV to VME One Slot Interface) - Ribbon cables from VIC 8250 in Master Crate go into VMV connectors P3' and P4. - VMV slave mapping switch to position 2 (crate no.) - Front panel DIP switch SW01 - On (to enable the VMV Slave) SW03 - On (to enable the VMV Master to access the VMV bus) all others off (i.e to the right) - VME CSR space mapping Hex rotary switch set to position 7 (as in the the VIC 8250 in the master crate - W01 all 4 jumpers in - Module also has ARB 8430/2 for Slot 1 arbitrations. Jumpers W01 & W02 in. Old Config: ---------- Slot 1: VMDIS 8003 (VME Display module with arbitration capability) - Jumper positions as described in VMDIS manual. For arbitration: J1, J2, J3 on, J4 and J5 in VME standard positions. - Operating mode is Latched (LAT) controlled by front panel toggle switch (for VME Bus Check go into monitor - MON mode) - All other front panel switches disabled (pushed in on the left). Slot 2: VBR 8212 (Vertical Bus System module) - Set crate no. on front panel - Ribbon cables from VIC 8250 in Master Crate go into connectors P3 & P4 respectively - Jumpers : J1 & J2 : rightmost on J3 : leftmost on J4 & J5 on VME System/Master Crate ----------------------- Slot 1 : KAV30-AD Slot 2 : CBD 8210 Branch # 1 INT4 Lemo connector used as computer trigger input Branch highway cable currently goes into CES Crate Controller (crate address set to 1) in a Camac Crate containing Borer module in slot 3. Slot 3 : DMC 8211 Slot 4 : CBD 8210 Branch # 2 Branch highway cable currently unconnected Slot 5 : DMC 8211 Other slots: VMDIS 8003 (without arbitration capabilities) - configured similarly to the VMDIS in WFD crate except that Jumper J1 is off VIC 8250 (with OPT 8250/1 internal memory buffer) - Crate 1 - Jumpers W01 & W02 on ARB 8430/2 off - SW03 on SW05 on (to enable the VMV controller function)
