From John Bahcall, re: HST proposal 8646 "Observing the Next Nearby
Supernova"

============================================================

Hi,

Congratulations to everyone!

Our HST proposal was approved with 40 orbits.

If there is a really bright nearby supernova, we will certainly have all the
resources we need to obtain and provide good data.

Pete Challis will again prepare the Phase II proposal. We have already
discussed the approach. Andy Fruchter will be our man-in-charge at the
Institute.

Best regards, John
