Hi Kate,
Many thanks for chairing a decent meeting again today. About the SNEWS
shifts - I remained silent, whereas we (basically me, but there is
one other very computer literate guy who has shown some interest) would be
more than willing to contribute. The reason is that we think such a task
has to be destined for someone who is actually contributing data. It seems
like political suicide for us to start trying to interupt, or even make
any actual comments on any data from SK, SNO, MACRO, LVD. Any thoughts?
And yes, I would like to be included for the DOE. If they were to
supply my salary (if only!) it would cause me visa problems, but that's
all!
Many thanks, and I'll let you know about DOE decisions asap (we are really
unsure what they are going to say. I suspect a 'show us more', but it
might be some hard R&D cash...?)
