If you rent a car or drive, please be aware parking in Boston is pretty scarce-- make sure to check with your hotel about parking facilities. To get to your hotel from Logan airport, the easiest thing is to take a taxi, which will cost about $20. This will take about 15 minutes (depending on traffic).

If you don't have much luggage, you can take the T for 85 cents, which will take about 30-40 minutes. There is free shuttle bus which goes from Logan to the Airport stop on the blue line. Switch to the green line at Government Center, taking a "B" (Boston College or B.C. direction) car, then get off at the Blandford Street stop (the first above-ground stop on the B line). This is the closest stop to PRB (BU Physics Research Building).

T and walking directions from hotels to PRB:

Kenmore Howard Johnson:

This is just across Commonwealth Avenue from the PRB building. Turn right along Comm Ave when you come out of the front doors of the hotel, cross at Blandford Street (where the green line T is).

The Buckminster:

This hotel is located where Beacon St comes into Kenmore Square. You can follow Comm Ave to Blandford St, or else there is a back staircase a little ways back along Beacon St. which goes down to Blandford St. right by the PRB.

Brookline Holiday Inn:

By T: The BHI is on the green C line which runs along Beacon St. Get on the inbound direction (going east, opposite side of the street from the hotel). Get off at Kenmore Square. Either get on a "B" line green T going west (outbound) at Kenmore for one stop to Blandford St, or walk from Kenmore Square west along Comm Ave to Blandford St.

Walking: (about 20 minutes): Go east several blocks along Beacon St until you get to St. Mary's St (look for "Ginza" Japanese restaurant). Turn left and walk a few blocks to Comm Ave; you will cross a bridge over the Mass Pike highway. Turn right on Comm Ave and a few more blocks will bring you to Blandford St.

The Eliot:

This hotel is located at the East end of Kenmore Square, near Massachusetts Ave. Walk west (to your left as you come out of the hotel) through the Kenmore Square area along Comm Ave (the fork on the right) until you get to Blandford St.
