How to link your program using Unix

Every UNIX machine has a facility called make. This can be very helpful and powerful, although there are certainly some subtleties. It will contain the directives for linking to DASH, CERN and other libraries. There are places in the Makefile where you specify the names of your FORTRAN files. The make facility will take care of the rest. An example Makefile is included in appendix B.
