This is addressed to all the SCINTSOFT account users on VXMACB. Over the
last month, there have been some changes in the setup of the account that
noone here (at GS) admits of doing them. The most serious of the changes
was the introduction of a maximum number of versions (3) for a file under
the [SCINTSOFT...] directory structure. As a result, multiple versions
of files in [SCINTSOFT...] were eventually purged upon the first time they
were "touched" after this change was introduced. Although multiple versions
of a file may indicate bad management of a directory, changes of the above
nature should at least be communicated with the rest of the users.
SCINTSOFT is running out of quota (again). There has been an increase of
the account's quota less than six months ago, but the problem is now
reappearing. I invite everybody to clear any possible disk space in SCINTSOFT
as soon as possible.
