MACRO is back in action

As you understood from the GC alarm that just came in, MACRO is
back in action as of 18:00 this evening. All ERPGC batch jobs
have been automatically restarted upon the computer boot and
wsgs04 is normally responding. This power back on didn't (almost)
cause any loss (some fan units and PS initially failed but
Massimo's sweet hand convinced them to restart without swap).

Notice that the intervention lasted approx 30 hours, less that
what they told us it was going to be. This is partly because
they came across conflicts that required rescheduling of the rest
of the works. Talking with Aurelio, I understand that we should
expect another 24-48 hour shutdown in mid-January 2000.

GC watchers: tomorrow around noon local time, we plan to have
another Y2K test; this time it is going to be not only the computer
clock changing ff to Y2K but the UT clock as well. THis last part is not
100% guaranteed for sucess as there are subtleties that might not
allow such an operation. Notice that LVD will also be subject to
this UT clock change.
