Ciao,
I just ran both the MACROUSA and my old versions of RAWSCAN and
found that I can't plot WFD data for recent data. I haven't tried old
data yet but I assume since you have already diagnosed this as "Y2K" it
must work.
RAWSCAN isn't linked to DREAM, but Ed Kearns borrowed some
routines (like DRHEAD) from DREAM that have since had Y2K patches applied.
It could be that making the same patches to the RAWSCAN versions will fix
things. I thought I looked into this (briefly) before Christmas and
concluded that the bugs were mostly cosmetic (like in the date
printouts), but I could have been wrong.
The worry is that somehow it is the data that is corrupt. Has any
software successfully looked at WFD data yet? I know my software
hasn't. I haven't been able to apply the Y2K patches yet because I am
stuck using a nonstandard version of DREAM and I am not in the mood to
count line numbers in my DREAM routines to align the y2k .cra files.
Sorry I can't be more help right now.
Please let me know. I'm curious if in fact RAWSCAN can read data
before Y2K. Who knows, maybe the problem is in HIGZ.
