Data shift report (12-JUN-2000 to 16-Jun-2000)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
by Massimo Orsini
From run 19629 to 19645
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
GENERAL COMMENTS:
During this week the acquisistion got severeal problems as follows:
12jun2000 8:35
run19628 found stopped
uVAX1 chrashed @~ 12jun2000 02:00
the BARI TRIGGER crate was off because of a fan failure
uvax1 received last trigger @~ 2 o'clock}
replaced fan unit (SM1 RACK 16) by Roberto Giuliani
run19631
- stopped to put back in acq 6B14-1
- noisy PHRASE fan unit changed and fixed (sm2 rack9 cr4) - by Roberto Giuliani
14jun2000
run19634 stopped by Patera because the SM2 streamer HV
had to be turned off to allow the CR39 extraction.
run19635 PHRASE only - badly started - (the uVAX1 synchronization
wasn't excluded)
run19636 PHRASE only - (again for the same reason)
run19637 started w/o uvax1 - (at last the uVAx1 sync. was excluded !!)
run19637 stopped to put uvax1 in acq
run19638 crashed --> target buffer busy
15jun2000
run19642 @~ 17:20 BLACK OUT !!!
run19643 full macro@20:17
run19643 stopped @20:22 (no phrase triggers from SM3/4)
run19644 @19:22 started full macro
PHRASE power supply replaced (SM6 RACK9 CRATE 3) - by Roberto Giuliani
16jun2000
run 19645 stopped by Roberto Giuliani to take out uvax1 from the acq.
run 19646 started w/o uvax1 in order to fix the usual ERP counters
which didn't load LUTs (1C13,1C14,1C15,1C16)
run 19646 stopped (badly started because the uvax1 sync. wasn't turned off)
run 19647 started w/o uvax1 (succesfully !!)
Furthermore, I found that all MACROUSA restart jobs were missing while DO_MONITOR
crashed on thursday and I re-launched:
RS_DISKMON_VXB
RS_PREP.COM
RS_DISKMON_OUT
RS_WWW
RS_LGB
RS_MON

PMT CHECK:
This week the whole SM5 was checked and here's the list of bad PMT signals:
- Undergain:
0 5E01-0 found @ -3.6mV (bright and filled)
0 5T01-0 found @ -3.7mV (Bright & filled)
0 5T07-1 found @ -3.7mV
- Overgain:
o 5B12-1 found @ -4.5mV
o 5C15-1 found @ -4.3mV
- Others
o 5W04-0 bright
TRIGGER RATES:
ERP --> 3B07 ~5.5mHz
ERP-GC --> 1E01 ~70mHz, 6W12 ~100mHz, 6S04 ~110mHz, 6S07 ~70mHz.
TOHM --> 2T01 ~9mHz,4T13 ~9mHz
LIP --> 1B16 ~0.3mHz(!), 1B12~0.9mHz, 1B14~1.1mHz, 2E10 ~10mHz,
3E04 ~6.5mHz, 6T12 ~12mHz
PHRASE --> 1E09 ~30mHz, 2W13 ~25mHz, 5W11 ~40mHz, 5T06 ~25mHz
FMT rates: we got no more than one FMT trigger per uvax and they seem to
be justified (by checking the Lane's EVD).
LAMOSSKA:
There are still many "not justified" LAMOSSKA triggers from SM5 (LAM5-0).
CSPAM efficiency:
The only box with systematic inefficiency is 3B07 (~40%).
LIP efficiency:
Low efficiency for 1B12, 1B14, 1B16,1T15, 1C08, 1C14, 1C15, 5T02, 6C09
and 6C10.
SPU: still hits on ERPI, ERPII, SPARE and LED on uVax1 (sometime 1/2 VETO
bits too).
STOP MASTER:
Some fake hits on SM4%1@CITm. (No more than 4 hits per run)
NO-Q-RESPONSES:
There are still a couple of no Q responses but no more than 7 per run
from M:2,B:2,C:5,N:21 and one from M:3,B:2,C:5,N:21 every ~10 runs.
During these events, ERP triggers on SM3 but sometimes it wasn't
caused by real events, pratically the west attico counters are not
always involved as we believed.
