The NRD007 processing terminated without any problems. it lasted ~ 12.2 hrs.
No error messages were reported.
Then NRD008 processing started.

The job crashed at 15-JUN-2000 5:30 PM with 'parity error'. The source drive
needed cleaning tape.
I relaunched the job after adding a 'skip files' option in order to process the
remaining 34 runs.

The job crashed again with the same error. So I decided to copy the last files
of NRD008 on dka100 using the second copy of the tape, but the 'RECOVER' job
crashed too and the source drive needed again the cleaning tape.
At this point, with the Nazareno's help, we decided to mount the MKB200 drive
on the ALPHA cluster but, again, the drive required cleaning tape. It's
possible that some files copied using a particular drive can not be read by
MKB200 (It's a singular coincidence that all the files that gave problems have
been copied on the tape using the drive MKF300. But this drive has been used
for NRD007 tape and we had no problems for it!)
So I decided to download the remaining NRD008 files on DISK$SCRAUSA9 using the
AXPGS3$MKA0 drive, then I copied those (24) files on AXMAC1 and Massimo
manually launched the RAREMAKER for them. Finally we uploaded the ZEB files
from disk to tape (after skipping the 367 ZEB files alredy stored on the DLT IV
tape).
The following is a 'fake' error message. Massimo launched the RAREMAKER
interactively (by mistake) and no LOG file was produced.
