Hi Chris, Doug and WFD fans--

During the last couple of days during which the Italians were trying to put
the detector back together, I've noticed that the WFD stop master in SM4
is dead (there has been no official acquisition so far for more than 4 days).
This module used to give troubles also in the past (last month).

I would like to ask you to try to get a spare WFD stop module or at least
some new programmed ACTEL chips at Gran Sasso on your next trip for the
collaboration meeting. More than one spares wouldn't actually hurt. There
are more than one not-100% healthy stop masters modules at the moment.
Having spares will allow us to debug them.

I remind you that in the current scheme, any acquisition problem attributed
to the WFD stop master results in the exclusion from the data stream of the
corresponding SM.

Ciao,
