FYI:
Bahcall's reply to the SNNET list was cut off. The missing
part explains that he has a code which implements the
Bahcall-Soneira Galactic model. One can then request the
number of stars of a given type in a given direction and
at a given distance, so it is more general than the table
I pointed out.
