MACRO/MEMO 08/2000 that describes a search for fractional charge
in MACRO. This is an analysis of the 1998-2000 MACRO data; it is
currently being extended to the entire LIP data set.
This search for LIPs was first discussed at the last MACRO collaboration
meeting in January at GS and presented in full details at the last rare
particle working group meeting in October in Bologna. In both occasions
we discussed about having a paper draft out of this memo for a final LIP
publication which is what the authors intend to do before the end of the
year and by the time the complete LIP data set is analyzed.
